Chapter Eight - Zul'Drak




From this point onward in the guide it's left up to you where you choose to put your hearthstone now that you have access to Dalaran. Most of the quest hubs in these last two zones are close enough together that travel time is nothing significant. You will soon be able to get Cold Weather Flying which will decrease your travel time as well.

Opportunity Knocks!

All mobs in Zul'Drak drop a BoP item called Drakkari Offerings. You can use this item at several Altars which are shown to you throughout this section so don't drop them! Once you've used them for a quest you can either continue to get buffs from the Altars by giving them or they are a decent source of cash when sold to a vendor. When Opportunity Knocks...answer!
1. Travel to Light’s Breach in Zul’Drak and get your flight point.
Flight PathFrom Wintergarde travel north-northwest up the steps and into Zul'Drak. Follow the road and take your first left. Only a little ways north and you'll see four flaming braziers on the roadside. From there go east(right) to Light's Breach.
2. Turn in Into the Breach!

3. Get In Search Of AnswersTrolls Is Gone Crazy!Wanted: Ragemane’s Flipper and This Just In: Fire Still Hot!
4. Turn in In Search Of Answers and get Orders From Drakuru.
Go south-southeast to Rageclaw Den and look for the swirly glowy purple light in the middle of the town.
5. Complete Trolls Is Gone Crazy! and This Just In: Fire Still Hot!
Use your fire extinguisher on the flaming huts and kill trolls for hammers. Use the hammers on the locks that bind the wolvar to free them.

The trolls on the north side of Rageclaw Den have a really fast respawn rate, making them a good place to farm for cash and cloth. When Opportunity Knocks...answer!
6. Complete Wanted: Ragemane’s Flipper.
GroupRagemane is swimming in the lake to the east of Rageclaw Den. You will need help to kill him.
7. Turn in Wanted: Ragemane’s FlipperOrders From DrakuruTrolls Is Gone Crazy! and This Just In: Fire Still Hot!

8. Get The Ebon Watch and Crusader Forward Camp.
9. Turn in Crusader Forward Camp.
Go east to the road and follow it north to the crossroads. Go left(west) and look for Argent Crusade banners on the right. (Watch out for Thrym!)
10. Get That’s What Friends Are For… and Making Something Out Of Nothing.
11. Go north and find Crusader Dargath.
12. Get A Great Storm Approaches.
Southwest from Dargath.
13. Go southwest and find Gerk.
Floating in the jars of green goo.
14. Get Light Won’t Grant Me Vengeance.
15. Go south and find Burr.
Dead on the tables just across the way from Gerk.
16. Complete Light Won’t Grant Me Vengeance and Making Something Out Of Nothing.
Vrykul and metal scraps are all over this area.
17. Turn in Light Won’t Grant Me Vengeance.
18. Turn in A Great Storm ApproachesThat’s What Friends Are For… and Making Something Out Of Nothing.
Back to the Crusade Forward camp to the east.
19. Get, complete and turn in Gymer’s Salvation.
Flight PathBanshee's are found around the camp. Earth elementals are found around Ebon Watch. Go south to the road and follow it west until you reach some stairs. Then go directly southwest. Get your flight path while you're passing by.
20. Get, complete and turn in Our Only Hope.
Return to Gymer. His cage is at the 'n' in Thrym's End on your map. Blow up the cage door.
21. Get, complete and turn in The Storm King’s Vengeance.
Gymer gives you directions to each of your targets when you first hop atop him so note them when you start. Look for storm clouds to heal when you need to but otherwise just have fun with this one.
22. Turn in The Ebon Watch and get Kickin’ Nass and Takin’ Manes.
Ebon Watch is to the southwest.

23. Complete and turn in Kickin’ Nass and Takin’ Manes.
You'll find scourge trolls to the north and to the east. After killing them use your steel-toed boot to get Nass to collect their manes for you.
24. While doing the above quest you will loot a Writhing Choker or an Unliving Choker. Use it to get the quest Darkness Calling or An Invitation, of Sorts…
25. NOTE: There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for getting one choker or the other but each will essentially give you the same quest, it’s just named a different thing. To minimize the confusion because of this, quests from this chain will be marked with a .
26. Turn in Darkness Calling or An Invitation, of Sorts… and get Near Miss or Close Call.
27. Complete and turn in Near Miss or Close Call.
Talk to the Blood Elf Death Knight nearby.
28. Get, complete and turn in You Can Run But You Can’t Hide or Silver Lining.
The mobs you need are to the east. The drool you need to pick up is on the ground.
29. Get Dressing Down or Suit Up!
30. Use your Ensorcelled Chocker and get Feedin’ Da Goolz.
Go east and find the abomination Gristlegut near the orange pool of icky goop.
31. Complete and turn in Feedin’ Da Goolz.
Put down a bowl of food near a ghoul.

Phat Lewts!

Gristlegut sells Bowels'n'Brains and Bitter Plasma. He is the only vendor that sells these items and you can only purchase them while doing this quest line, making them very rare. It's a great item for guild halloween parties and has the potential to make a little bit of money if you choose to sell them during the Hallow's End event. Either way you choose to use them it a fluffy thing that falls under the category of Phat Lewts!
32. Complete and turn in Dressing Down or Suit Up!
Purchase the bitter plasma you need from Gristlegut.
33. Get Infiltrating Voltarus.
Sell Repair RestockSell. Repair. Restock. Since you are in town or near a vendor, now is a good time to unload and reload your packs.
34. Use your Choker and enter Voltarus.
Voltarus is the floating Necropolis to the northeast. To get up inside you need to step onto the teleporter platform below it.
35. Get, complete and turn in Reunited.
Get the quest from Drakuru then go talk to Gorebag to the south-ish and enjoy the flight and easy exploration xp.
36. Turn in Infiltrating Voltarus and get So Far, So Bad.
Teleport back down to the platform and use your horn to summon your turn in NPC.
37. Get, complete and turn in It Rolls Downhill.
Go back up to get the quest then back down to the platform. Use your staff on geists that are wandering around and order them to collect crystals.
38. Complete and turn in So Far, So Bad.
The blight cauldrons are found all around the surrounding area. Avoid shades! Use your horn to turn in.
39. Get Hazardous Materials.
40. Get, complete and turn in Zero Tolerance.
Go up to get the quest then back down to the platform again. Head southeast a little and use your staff on a troll to make him a giant super-minion. You'll find Darmuk just south of the 'us' in Volturus on your map. Use your troll to kill him.
41. Complete and turn in Hazardous Materials.
Collect the blight crystals from boxes inside Volturus. Make sure there are no guards around when you loot because it sometiems causes your disguise to fail. Use your horn to turn in.
42. Get Sabotage.
43. Get, complete and turn in Fuel for the Fire.
North of Volturus in the mountains are abominations fighting trolls. Use your staff to get an abomination
44. Get, complete and turn in Disclosure.
Take the portal up to the inner part of Volturus (blue glowing floor above the green portal that takes you down to the platform). Talk to the skellie inside the coffin and take the tour until you get the complete message.
45. Complete and turn in Sabotage.
The wagons you need to blow up are found outside/below Volturus. Use your horn to turn in.
46. Get, complete and turn in Betrayal. (Use drakuru’s last wish to leave the necropolis)
Talk to Drakuru inside Volturus to be portaled up to the top of the necropolis. Your disguise WILL fail so you must use your staff to control a troll before it fails. This video can help if you need it. Turn in back at Ebon Watch.

48. Turn in Taking a Stand and get Defend the Stand.
Go north to the road and follow it east all the way to the Argent Stand.
49. Get Parachutes for the Argent Crusade and The Blessing of Zim’Abwa.
50. Complete Defend the StandParachutes for the Argent Crusade and The Blessing of Zim’Abwa.
West of the stand you'll find the scourge you need to kill. Throw the parachutes to any Argent Crusaders who don't have one. Zim'Abwa is a statue to the southwest of the Argent Stand.
51. Turn in Parachutes for the Argent CrusadeDefend the StandThe Blessing of Zim’Torga.
52. Get New Orders for Sergeant StackhammerPa’Troll and Trouble at the Altar of Sseratus.
53. Turn in New Orders for Sergeant Stackhammer and get Argent Crusade, We Are Leaving!
Follow the road that leads north from the Argent Stand.
54. Get Mopping Up.
55. Complete Trouble at the Altar of SseratusMopping Up and Argent Crusade, We Are Leaving!
To the north you'll find Argent Crusaders battling it out. Help them and then tell them to leave. Northward is the Altar of Sseratus, make your way inside the building until you get a complete message.
56. While doing the above quests you’ll loot a Strange Mojo. Use it to get the quest Strange Mojo.
57. Turn in Mopping Up and Argent Crusade, We Are Leaving!
58. Get, complete and turn in Lab Work.
From the Sergeant go west to the wall then south to the building that I will call the Lab. Inside the Lab there are many shelves with lots of items on the shelves. This is where you'll find what you need.
59. Get, complete and turn in Siphoning the Spirits.
You'll find Lost Drakkari spirits to the south of the lab at the Pools of Zha'jin.
60. Get, complete and turn in Stocking the Shelves and Clipping Their Wings.
Bats and Spiders are found all around the lab.
61. Turn in Trouble at the Altar of Sseratus and Strange Mojo.
Back at the Argent Stand.

62. Get Precious Elemental Fluids and The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals.
63. Get Something for the Pain.
Follow the road that leads southeast from the Argent Stand. After passing a road on the left look to the left for the quest NPC.
64. Complete Something for the PainPrecious Elemental Fluids and The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals.
South of the Argent Stand are the Drak'Sotra Fields. Kill water elementals and loot their bindings. Combine three and use it to summon an Elemental you can kill and loot. Wash and rinse until complete. There are also plants to loot in this area and plenty of Drakkari that need killing.

65. Turn in Something for the Pain.
To the southeast of the fields.
66. Turn in The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals.
Back at the Argent Stand.
67. Turn in Precious Elemental Fluids and get Mushroom Mixer.
68. Get Gluttonous Lurkers.

69. Get Creature Comforts.
Follow the road leading southeast out of town and take your first left. Before reaching the stairs you'll see a firey brazier on the left. From that brazier go northeast to a building with Argent banners.
70. Complete Creature ComfortsMushroom Mixer and Gluttonous Lurkers.
Wood, Mushrooms, rats and basilisks are found all over this area. Loot 5 rats and throw them all at a basilisk to make it go to sleep then loot the basilisk.
71. Turn in Creature Comforts.
72. Turn in Mushroom Mixer and get Too Much of a Good Thing.
Back at the Argent Stand.
73. Turn in Gluttonous Lurkers.
At the Lab to the northwest.
74. Complete and turn in Too Much of a Good Thing.
From the Lab go northeast and you'll find a giant snakeman. Use your elixir/mojo to make him muddled then kill him. Return to the Stand to turn in.

75. Get To the Witch Doctor.
76. Get, complete and turn in Throwing Down and Leave No One Behind.
Follow the road southeast out of town until you pass under an Aqueduct and see a firey brazier on the left. From the brazier go directly northeast (parellel to the aqueduct) to get your quests. From the Argent building go north and you'll find the piles of dirt you need to throw bombs down. You will find the people you need to save in each of the three complete (not destroyed) towers to the southeast. You can only do one at a time so you'll have to go back and forth a few times.
77. Get, complete and turn in Cocooned!
Go back to the north and rescue people caught in the webs.
78. Get Death to the NecromagiCrashed Sprayer and Pure Evil.
79. Complete and turn in Crashed Sprayer.
The crashed sprayer is almost directly west from the Argent building in Drak'Sotra.
80. Get A Tangled Skein.
81. Complete Death to the Necromagi and A Tangled Skein.
Southeast of the Argent building is Kolramas. Use your Skein on the sprayers to bring them down and destroy them. Necromagi are found all over the place.
82. Turn in A Tangled Skein.
83.  Turn in Death to the Necromagi and get Malas the Corrupter.
84. Complete and turn in Malas the Corrupter. Complete Pure Evil while you're here too.
GroupInside the crashed necropolis of Kolramas to the southeast you'll find chunks of saronite. At the top of Kolramas is Malas the Corrupter. You'll need help to kill him.
85. Turn in Pure Evil.
At the Argent Stand.
86. Turn in Pa’Troll.

Opportunity Knocks and there's Phat Lewts to be had!

Pa'Troll is one of the few Argent Crusade daily quests for Argent Crusade reputation. By itself the dailies are meager rewards when there are better ones out there however, if you complete all the Patrol dailies in under 20 minutes you get additional rep and additional cash, making this daily a worthy consideration. 87. Turn in To the Witch Doctor.
Flight PathFollow the road leading southeast and take your first left. Go up the stairs and look for a small broken path leading into a densely wooded area on the right. This is Zim'Torga. Get your flight point.
88. Get, complete and turn in The Blessing of Zim’Torga.
Zim'Torga's statue is in the center of town.
89. Get, complete and turn in Breaking Through Jin’Alai and The Leaders at Jin’Alai.
South of Zim'torga is Jin'Alai. Kill trolls to make the leaders spawn then go find and kill them and loot what they drop. Anyone can loot it for a short time so if someone gets the kill before you don't worry. You'll know a leader has spawned because they'll do a /yell in the area. There are also four cauldrons you need to use in the four corners of this area.
90. Get Sealing the RiftsThe Frozen EarthTo Speak With Har’koa and Relics of the Snow Leopard Goddess.
91. Turn in To Speak With Har’koa and get But First My Offspring.
The Altar of Har'koa is the tall building to the south-southeast of Zim'Torga. Harkoa is the giant cat chained there.
92. Complete But First My Offspring and Relics of the Snow Leopard Goddess.
Kill the black cats in the area and use Harkoa's whisker on them. Relics can be looted from anywhere around the altar.
93. Turn in But First My Offspring and get Spirit of Rhunok.
94. Turn in Relics of the Snow Leopard Goddess.
At Zim'Torga.

95. Get Plundering Their OwnTails Up and The Blessing of Zim’Rhuk.
96. Complete and turn in The Blessing of Zim’Rhuk.
Zim'Rhuk is a statue north of Zim'Torga. It's heavily protected but you can reach the statue without aggroing anything if you're careful.
97. Complete Sealing the RiftsThe Frozen Earth and Plundering Their Own.
A little west of Zim'Rhuk is a large pool of water. Around this pool are rifts, elementals and trolls.

The elementals here have a decent drop rate on crystallized water. Combine 10 to make an Eternal Water and sell it in the AH. When Opportunity Knocks...answer!
98. Turn in Spirit of Rhunok and get My Prophet, My Enemy.
Rhunok is the ghost of a bear standing in front of the Altar to the north.
99. Complete and turn in My Prophet, My Enemy.
In the center of the pool of water to the south is the Prophet. Kill and loot him.
100. Get, complete and turn in An End to the Suffering.
Kill the bear's body inside the altar. You will need to kill and loot the trolls there first to get the incense to waken the bear.
101. Get Back to Har’koa.
102. Complete and turn in Tails Up.
North of the altar are bears. Shoot them with the Tranq dart gun and then check them. When you have three females go back toward Zim'Torga. South of Zim'Torga are white spotted cats. Repeat the Tranq/Check procedure until you have 3 females then go back to Zim'Torga to turn in.
103. Turn in Plundering Their OwnThe Frozen Earth and Sealing the Rifts.

104. Get Bringing Down Heb’Jin and Scalps!
105. Turn in Back to Har’koa.
At the altar of Harkoa.
106. Get, complete and turn in I Sense a Disturbance.
Ride the kitten and pay attention to where the Altar of Quezt'lun is located.
107. Get, complete and turn in Preparations for the Underworld.
Kill trolls around Harkoa's altar and loot them for the adornments.
108. Get Seek the Wind Serpent Goddess.
109. Complete and turn in Bringing Down Heb’Jin and Scalps!
Heb'Jin is located just across the road to the east of Zim'Torga. Bang on the drum at the steps to bring him down and kill him. Kill other trolls and use your scalping knife to scalp them.
110. Turn in Seek the Wind Serpent Goddess.
East of Zim'Torga is the Altar of Quezt'lun. Upon entering the area you'll go into ghost form. Go up to the altar and talk to the goddess to turn in.
111. Get, complete and turn in Setting the Stage.
Loot crystals all over the altar.
112. Get, complete and turn in Foundation for Revenge.
Soul fonts are located all over the altar. Kill mobs near it.
113. Get, complete and turn in Hell Hath a Fury.
There are 4 teirs to the Altar area. The fourth teir is the highest where the altar and goddess are located. All the named mobs you need are on the third teir, just one down. Two are to the right and left of the stairs and one patrols the northern section.
114. Get and turn in One Last Thing.
Back to the Altar of Harkoa to the south.
115. Get, complete and turn in Blood of a Dead God.
North of tha Altar of Quezt'lun you'll find the Mam'toth Crater. Here you'll find glowing blue 'oozes' of blood that you can kill and loot.
116. Get, complete and turn in You Reap What You Sow.
Use Quezt'lun's curse on the giant skeleton in front of the Altar then kill the troll. Turn in at Zim'Torga.

117. Get Hexed CachesThe Key of Warlord Zol’MazEnchanted Tiki Warriors and Wooly Justice.
118. Complete Wooly Justice.
Go north to the road then follow it north-easterly and up the stairs. At the top go east to the Altar of Mam'toth. Use your medallion on a mammoth then mount it and use it to kill trolls.
119. Complete Hexed CachesThe Key of Warlord Zol’Maz and Enchanted Tiki Warriors.
From the Mam'toth Altar go northwest to the Zol'Maz stronghold. There are three smaller buildings and one main building. To open the main building and kill the Warlord you need to kill the three trolls in each of the smaller buildings and combine their items into a Tiki Warrior of your own. Use the Tiki Warrior in front of the gate of the large building to make the warlord come out. Don't go inside, just wait for him to come out. Tiki Warriors and Caches/chests are found all over this area.
120. Turn in Wooly JusticeHexed Caches and Enchanted Tiki Warriors.
Back at Zim'Torga.
121. Turn in The Key of Warlord Zol’Maz and get Rampage.
122. Get Just Checkin’.

123. Turn in Just Checkin’.
Flight PathGo north then follow the road leading north-easterly. After going up a second set of stairs and down a third set go straight north to Dubra'Jin against the mountainside. Get your flight path.
124. Get, complete and turn in Eggs for Dubra’Jin.
Eggs are found around the small pockets of trees southeast of Dubra'Jin.
125. Complete and turn in Rampage.
East of Dubra'Jin in the center of the Gundrak area you'll find a large rhino chained. Kill the subduers and use the Chain Anchors to free the rhino. When you have the compelted message return to Zim'Torga.
126. Get, complete and turn in The Gods Have Spoken.
GroupAt the Altar of Quezt'lun you'll find Altar Wardens you need to kill and loot. Also, at Zim'Rhok to the north of Zim'torga you'll find the guardians you need to kill and loot. Both are solo-able but difficult so get help if you need it.

The Altar Wardens have a really good drop rate on crystallized air and the Guardians of Zim'Rhuk have a good drop rate on crystallized earth. Combine 10 to make an Eternal Air/Earth and sell them in the AH. When Opportunity Knocks...answer!
127. Get, complete and turn in Convocation at Zol'Heb.
GroupGo north then follow the road leading north-easterly. After going up a second set of stairs and down a third set go straight east to Zol'Heb. Use the Convocation at the green circle in the center of the building. You will need help for this quest.
128. Get and turn in Unfinished Business.
FlyFly to Dubra'Jin/Gundrak to turn in.

The Amphiteatre of Anguish is located in the center of Zul'Drak. The quest chain starts in Dalaran with The Champion's Call. It's similar to the Ring of Blood back in Nagrand and has awesome rewards, good xp and lots of gold. If you have the time and inclination, I recommend doing this chain.
